Very sturdy, heavy, have a helper to move around. Very good quality.I purchased this 50-pound umbrella stand about a month ago as a gift, the recipient was getting a commercial grade 9-foot umbrella. This was a perfect match. Having purchased an umbrella for myself, I bought this again. It is pricey, however I think part of that price offsets the shipping weight of this stand. Unboxing it is cumbersome, it s heavy at 50 pounds, have a helper to prevent personal injury or damage to the stand if dropped. My only complaint is the packaging, the foam insert is not adequate to keep this from shifting in transit. When it arrived the stand s bottom was sticking out of the box, and could easily disappeared during transit as it fell through the box s side.
