Customer reviewsNice table
The table itself is very nice I m sitting at it as I m typing this . Solid wood, deep rich color, seems very sturdy and nicely done. Several things to keep in mind if you are considering this, or another similar purchase. With the delivery of the first table, XPO brought the box to the family room nook area and dropped it off and left. Since I knew assembly was not included, I didn t think twice. After unboxing it and assembling it a fairly simple and straightforward process we flipped it upright and I noticed a huge, ugly, deep gouge on the tabletop. Amazon offered to give me a discount if I kept it, but it was too big a blemish. So they arranged an exchange for me, including the pickup of the defective table. Interestingly, they also told me that it was a white glove delivery, so XPO should have unboxed the table and taken the packaging away something that was confirmed by XPO . So, points off for delivery shortfall. When the day came for the exchange table, XPO failed. They were supposed to arrive between 12-3, and notify me 1 2 hour before arrival. By 2 40 PM I hadn t heard, so I called their dispatch, and was told the driver should be on his way. I then got a call from the driver saying he wouldn t be there till closer to 4 30. So, points off for untimely communication and delay. Then, at 4 30 I got a rather irate call from the driver who d driven to the wrong street. Again, points off to XPO...I understand ours is a new development and does not show up on Google Maps but this would ve been the 3rd delivery from XPO and other delivery drivers who have not found my address have called, vs just going with a different address Google offered up in a different zip code. When he finally got to my house, past 5, they did agree to unpackaging and removing the package, which gave me an opportunity to inspect the replacemt. However, Amazon had not input the ticket for removal of the defective table, so they refused to take it away. I wanted to call Amazon so they could input the ticket on the spot something they confirmed they could have done , thus saving me having to schedule a pickup on a different day, but the same driver who d kept me waiting two hours past my original window rudely refused to wait, as did the XPO dispatcher on the phone. They just wanted to blow out of there. So, XPO is now in negative points territory. The Amazon CS rep was very apologetic, and issued me a promotion credit for my pain and suffering as had the CS rep who handled the original exchange , so points to Amazon for caring about my suffering. They sent a pickup from a different company a few days later, Pilot, and that driver was friendly and courteous, despite having to wrestle a 100 pkg by himself, cheerfully refusing my offer to help.
