The stool seems sturdy enough. My issue is with the assembly instructions. The instructions consisted of three pictures which is fine. When I put the two leg pieces together I thought, It seems like it should be bolted at the top. I looked at the picture and there was no indication that a bolt was supposed to be placed there. So I went to the garage and found a nut bolt and bolted it. Next I put on the metal ring that goes around the legs. There were washers included in the hardware but nowhere on the instruction pictures did it show any washers being used. Nevertheless I added the washers. Next I installed the swivel mechanism. That went fine. When I went to attach the seat I realized there was an extra flat head bolt that was longer than the flat head bolts for the seat. That was when I realized the extra flat head bolt was supposed to be installed at the top of the legs. So I had to remove the swivel mechanism, remove my home sourced nut and bolt, install the included flat head bolt, then reattach the swivel mechanism. Finally I got back to attaching the seat. Once done, the stool felt solid.
