This frame is beautiful and very solid heavy duty. The only issue is that the frame is too wide and too long from headboard to footboard for a standard king sized mattress and box spring. there is a good 2-3 inch gap on each side of the bed where the mattress and box spring slide around. I solved this by rolling up a king sized throw blanket and stuffing it down inside the gap between the boxspring and frame on the side of the bed that s against my wall. This probably wouldn t work great if your bed is more centered in the room. If the frame was the correct size I d be a lot happier with my purchase, the price and quality of it are unbeatable, but my toddler occasionally sleeps in the bed with us and when he tries to get down by himself, I m always worried he ll get a foot stuck in those gaps.
