That s why I was surprised and impressed with the Leick Demilune Console Table in slate black. Of course it s not solid oak. That would cost hundreds of dollars more. However the heavy plywood, nice looking veneers, and quality finish make this product a bargain at the current asking price of just under 120. The table arrived very well packaged and in flawless condition. It was easy to assemble and was hefty and sturdy when completed having the look of a piece of fine furniture that has aged just a bit. There s no reason this table won t outlive me. There were questions of surprise by some regarding the height--only 28 inches tall--but, as you can see from my attached photo, this height is perfect for those who have chair rail trim in their rooms. The table is just a little shorter than the horizontal trim line. If you want a good quality table at a very reasonable price that works well in an entryway or other tight spot, this item is a good option.
