Hooker Furniture uses carefully chosen solid wood and select wood veneers over durable wood products in our furniture construction. Use of veneers enables more decorative looks unattainable with solid wood. Veneers are used over durable wood products such as medium density fiberboard MDF and particle board, made of renewable resources. MDF and particle board are used in quality furniture for areas that need to be stable, such as large surfaces. It is beautiful.I bought this table in Clearwater, FL from a local high end furniture retailer and design service. This table is a work of art and so are the chairs. The table itself is so heavy I needed help to scoot it over a few inches to balance it symmetrically under the window in the kitchen. The table and chairs are sturdy, beautifully made and the white parts are heavily rusticated. The top is not so much so, but is beautifully finished with an interesting pattern and shading. Thora
