Not the greatest, but manageableWhile the measurements of the case are correct, actual space usage is off by one inch. It serves its purpose, but not well. If you have larger textbooks beyond 11, then the bookcase isn t going to workout. It can hold one subject binders well enough, but we couldn t stand up my younger daughter s social studies book. Coloring books are fine, and my organizers are fine on top. Everything else has to be tilted in order to place things in the shelving unit. As far as stacking these shelves, I wouldn t recommend it. The top of the shelving is slick, and you d probably have the shelves slide around, unless you could bolt them together in some way. It s ok for a shelving unit, but not great.
