Made of particle board, hollow underside.When buying this item, I was fully aware about the size being different than what s listed in the description, in fact, that was a nice surprise when I was looking around for a console table to go under my wall-mounted television. The center shelf nicely holds my center speaker to my surround sound system, and the drawer is deep enough to fit a stuffed wallet and other items. I had no screw alignment issues that others reported, possibly because they tightened the screws as they put them in. Pro-Tip Make the screws loose as you put them in, only tighten at the end. My overall complaint about the item is that the build quality isn t worth the price tag. at 60 I would give this table 5 stars however, 122 for particle board and a hollow underside is too much.
