Victoria K: Looks good when finally put together, but was not manufactured properly

I recently purchased this nightstand for my bedroom and noticed 2 critical errors in manufacturing that caused a lot of stress trying to put together the piece of furniture. The back panel is supposed to slide through grooves in the back, which it does, but the panel piece was cut too long, and the top of the nightstand sat at an angle. We had to take out the panel, screw on the top and then screw on the panel to the back of the nightstand with extra screws. You can t obviously see it from the front, but it is definitely not like it was supposed to be. Also, there are two wooden blocks that hold the track on the inside sides of the nightstand for the drawer. The one side was placed incorrectly, which blocked one side of the slot that the back panel was supposed to slide through. We had to remove and screw into a different spot to allow the back panel to slide through the grooves. After about two hours of attempting to put together this nightstand, it finally looks like the picture. I would have returned this item, but since we already made extra screw holes, we could not. I was really upset during the process, but now that it is put together, it looks good. I will say, the top of the night stand scratches very easily.
